About Meltdown
Join us August 3rd 2024 in the heat of the Florida summer to learn, dance and have fun!
We kick off Friday with a beginner bootcamp at Dance It Studio. Then auditions and leveled workshops Saturday at the Hard Rock Cafe. 2024 we are adding more levels! There will be leveled classes targeting four groups from newcomer to advanced dancers. Hybrid workshop, social dance, & an amateur DJ battle wrap up the evening Saturday!
Sunday fun day at Volcano Bay! Come out, socialize, and party with your fellow dancers. Meltdown in to Volcano Bay.
Bring your friends, family, strangers to the Free Beginner Bootcamp ran by OTown Swing for them to learn or get a refresher on the basics of West Coast Swing! 2024 the beginner bootcamp will be Friday at 6PM at Dance It Studio.
Audition if you are unsure of your level and want to make sure the workshops throughout the day will be perfect for you. You will be briefly dancing in a mock JnJ (Jack & Jill) and your instructors for the evening will make sure you are in the best level for you to learn.
For our Leveled Workshops you can take your level or lower throughout the day. We encourage dancers taking a lower level than theirs to try to balance the lead follow ratio of the class.
JOIN US for a Hybrid Workshop! Before the social dance there will be a special hybrid workshop bridging another dance style with west coast swing.
During the social dance following the hybrid workshop, you will be voting for your favorite amateur DJ in the DJ Battle!
